There is a billboard in my city that is teasing me. Ski. It's been up for a year now, and it's nowhere to be found here. The billboard for Ski is in my city, but the soda isn't. I just don't know why we have the billboard. Checking the Ski page on Wikipedia, it's distributed in Georgia. That may be why we have the sign. Sean and I have been to quite a few gas stations and some grocery stores searching for it. I just emailed Double-Cola to try and find out where Ski is near me. If there's some place close by in Georgia that sells it, I can just drive there and pick it up. I'd order Ski from the Double-Cola site, but it's $23 for a case of 24. $1 per can is a bit much, but I guess I may have to do it sometime. It'd only $18 per case added onto an order, so bulk ordering wouldn't be as bad. I get Ski when I go visit my family, but Sean hasn't had any in about 4 years since he hasn't gone back with me. I finally got my hair cut on June 10. It's now a little above my shoulders and I wear it flipped out. I like it this length, so I'll have to make sure I keep up with getting it cut. It had been a little over a year when I last got it cut. I'm horrible with getting my hair cut. This time around was a bit different though. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it longer so it could be put up for Melissa's wedding, or if I wanted to go back to short hair. I look younger with it short and flipped out. Here I am getting older and looking even younger. Sean and I are going to be carded for games, movies, and alcohol for many more years. It's kind of annoying, but I guess at least I don't look old. My birthday has come and gone, and Sean's will be here soon. I got My Spanish Coach on Nintendo DS, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, gift cards to Best Buy, WalMart, and Olive Garden, and money. Since I told Sean I didn't want anything, we went and bought silver knobs and hinges for the kitchen to replace the gold. It cost about $175 since we needed 30 knobs and 23 sets of hinges. It took us 3 hours to replace them all. Our kitchen looks a million times better now. The only thing left to do in there is get a stainless steel smooth top stove and microwave. The kitchen will be done after that. The stove is going to be expensive since it's built into the counter and we'll have to pay someone to remove the old one and install the new one. Oh well. Sean and I have a vacation to Myrtle Beach, NC planned for September 22-27. We came across an amazing deal on a hotel room. Sean was going to show me the hotel he found, and the day he was showing it to me was the day they started their 48 hour sale. It only cost us $48 a night and their regular price is $89 a night. This will be our first vacation together. That'll be after being married for 4 years; this vacation is well deserved. We plan on going to Japan in about 3 or 4 years. Japan is our dream vacation. My plan had been to learn a little bit of Japanese before going there, but after doing a few lessons on My Spanish Coach, learning another language is really hard. I took a year of German in high school, and I think I had forgotten how hard it is to try and learn another language. I can still count to 20 in German and know a few words and foods, which is pretty well all we learned. Spanish, I'm only up to 15, and trying to remember 14 and 15 is hard. I pretty well have to count to that number to know what it is. That's the only way I can do it in German too. Oh well. I was hoping to be able to learn enough Spanish to ask customers questions at work, but I have a feeling I'd only be able to ask the question but not understand the response. Previous Entries |
