I feel as though I've abandoned my site. I suppose that may be because I haven't done anything with it since January. I apparently even started a partial blog at the end of January that I didn't get very far into. I'd only gone as far to say that Sean and I went and saw My Bloody Valnetine 3D, and some idiot guy brought his 2-3 year old daughter with him. Honestly, there should be an age restriction saying that kids have to be a certain age to be brought into a R-rated movie. I'd say that kids should have to be at least 8-10 to be allowed in them. Not only are you ruining the movie for everyone in the theater, but you're definitely not doing anything good for the kid. This movie in particular was bloody, violent, had language, and of course a fully naked woman running around for about 5 minutes. Find someone to watch your kids or don't go to the movies.

Sean and I went to a car club cruise-in last month. His dad is the president of the club and we're members of it. Our Mustang is nowhere near ready for anything, so we ended up taking his dad's Miata since it's show quality. We had a good time. We got to see some nice cars, I got a Tropical Snow, and we won the 50/50 drawing. We weren't even going to buy a ticket for it, but then bought one. There was some guy there that bought 10. Go figure that we won it. Our winnings ended up paying for everything we bought that day, so it worked out quite nicely. As for our Mustang, we just brought it to the shop to get a whole new brake system. They went ahead and checked some things out on it, and it turns out that 2 of the 6 compressors on the engine are weak. Now we need a new engine. Fun times. Sean's dad knows someone who has a few engines, one of which we'd like to purchase, so hopefully that all works out and we get a good engine for a reasonable price. Once that's done, then we can get to work on the body, have it painted, then redo the interior, and it will be done for the moment. We do plan on putting AC in it and adding a rack-and-pinion steering, but I don't know when we'd be doing that. The AC might be when we do the interior since it's so incredibly hot here.

I finally got to meet my new district manager this week. She's really nice, and I enjoyed the visit. I always get nervous when I have to meet new people. I'm good with district managers, but I still get nervous with regional managers. I still have not met him yet, and I don't know when I will. He didn't end up visiting my store this time around, so it's hard to say when he'll do his next visit in our district. Hopefully it won't end up being a suprise visit. I haven't had any surprise visits from regional or other people higher up in the company yet, so hopefully I never will. I'm pretty sure that they would go pretty well, but it still makes me nervous. Work is good right now. I've got a good staff too. I like having people who are willing to work and actually work. Sometimes that's really hard to come by. Things are good though, so here's to hoping they stay that way.

I'm going back to Illinois in June for my cousin's wedding. Turn's out that the weekend I'll be back is the weekend that the town is having it's little carnival thing. It always used to be at the end of June, but they kept getting rained on so they moved it earlier in June. I didn't realize that moved it more to the beginning of June though. My sister happened across that information, so we're planning on going to it Friday night since the wedding is on Saturday. I'm sure we'll end up seeing a bunch of people that we went to school with since almost everyone stayed in the area and everyone goes to this thing. I was just thinking, "I wonder what I'll wear." I believe I'll wear my Harley Quinn shirt. (Wow that model is not doing that shirt any justice!) Now I just have to decide what shirt to wear on the plane. Last year I wore my Stop Shifting Blame shirt. On the way home, I had the pilot tell me I had a nice shirt. Maybe I'll wear one of my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirts. I'll just have to think about it. Quite honestly, I wouldn't care what I was wearing if I already owned this and had it to play at the airport. And yes, I will own it and play it in public. I just want to play it in public and have people wonder what the heck it is.
