I know I've basically abandoned my site. I apparently have a difficult time changing my layout, and I have an even more difficult time blogging. I was going to go with a Maniac Mansion theme, but somewhere I lost the motivation to finish it. Then I started thinking I'd just steal from a previous layout and do some stargazer lilies, but I still lack motivation. I seem to keep this around so that I can keep lists of things, but I don't even keep those up-to-date. I'm probably about 20 to 30 games behind, 50 movies behind, 4 books behind and abandonded the book I was reading, and who knows what else I'm behind on. I have been keeping up with movies I've watched for the first time. Though I have a problem with even logging it right away, so then I have to go back and figure out when I watched things and make sure that I haven't forgotten anything.

I believe that I suck.

I play farmville and occasionally do other things. I REALLY need to get back into reading. I love my Dean Koontz books, but I've been in the middle of a book for at least 6 months. I've actually been using it as a blockade to keep Bebop from going behind the sofa. My poor book! Plus I have one that I haven't read yet, I'll be receiving another book soon, and in order to read that new book I'll have to go back and re-read two other books since it was a series and I have absolultely no idea what was going on in any of them.

In other news, I beat Super Mario Galaxy 2 and currently have 75 of the stars. I will never ever be able to get all of the stars because some of the stars are impossible for me to get. I just don't have the necessary skills to collect them. I guess at least I beat the final Bowser on this one; I never did on the first one! Though I only think I attempted it once and died, so that isn't saying much. However, this final Bowser fight was incredibly easy. I didn't even think that was the final fight until he gave his "I've lost" little speech. I really enjoyed what he said, but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't played the game yet. So there is some motivation to beat Super Mario Galaxy 2, to find out what Bowser says! Then when you go through all of that trouble and find out what he says, you'll think I'm a huge dork. Which I am. I need to finish The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. That is next on my to-do list.

You know what's awesome? Portable SNES! I received it for my birthday from Sean. He also gave me a portable NES last year for my birthday. I plan on bringing my SNES with me on my trip to California this week for my sister's wedding. I will be playing it in the airport. I would love to bring my NES, but it and the games are a bit bulkier than the SNES. Plus the SNES has a rechargeable battery and the NES requires some C batteries. I'll also be bringing my DSi and a book or two. I like to be very prepared. I'm not really looking forward to my hour flight and then my 4 hour flight. I'm not big on being stuffed in an airplane seat next to other people for that long. The last time I flew to St. Louis, there was an Elvis impersonator on my flight. I also had a pilot tell me that my shirt was nice. I was wearing my Stop Shifting Blame Shirt. I plan to wear my new Iron Man shirt this time. I love fun shirts.

And in other random news: I had a bat on my house on June 26. I went outside to pressure wash some more of the sidewalk, and there was a bat. It was 9:30am. He was clung upside down to a brick the entire day. I took a few pictures because it was awkward and I hadn't actually seen a bat in person before. That definitely wasn't something I ever thought would be on my house, especially during the day. He was still there at 7:30pm, but I'm sure he fly off once it was dark. I named him Bruce, after Batman. I wouldn't mind if he lived at my house because then at least he's eating some insects, and there are way too many of those. I have not seen any more bats.

Even more random news: When Sean and I were driving back from Orlando, I ended up talking with him about some ants that we had in Illinois at one point. I was telling him that they were big, orange and black striped, fuzzy, hard to kill, and were actually members of the wasp family. I looked it up online and and it's a Red Velvet Ant, but it is a female wingless wasp. I comes in red and black, orange and black, and blue and black. I have not seen the blue and black one. A few days after looking it up, we happened across one on our driveway as we were leaving for work. I was all "Hey, it's the Red Velvet Ant!" Sean's mom who walked over attempted to kill it by stepping on it a few times. It continued to live and then Sean finally stomped on it and killed it. His mom then came across another one in her yard that day. I thought it was odd that I had just talked about it and looked it up, and then there it was. Sean told me that if I looked up pythons and there was one in the backyard that he was going to kill me. He has a huge fear of snakes, and I would never just randomly look up snakes. I told him I was going to look up butterflies because I love them. I have yet to look up butterflies.
