Site History
I'm not entirely sure when I started making a web page, but I think it was in the summer of 1999. I didn't know anything at all, and started out at Homestead. I had just recently gotten into anime and therefore thought it necessary to make an anime site. It was named Dilk's Anime World and contained nothing but graphics. I started learning HTML on my own and moved my site to Angelfire, and it then became known as Dreaming of Miscellaneous Worlds since I wanted to have a title using my initials. The site did contain a little more than just graphics, but not enough to call it nice site. I then decided I wanted to have an online journal after seeing so many. The journal had to use my initals in the title as well, so it became known as Dazzling Meaning Weird. I then got hosted by Robert on his old domain of mungoshere.org sometime in 2001. I placed my journal on the hosted site and kept the anime stuff up on Angelfire. I started focusing on my journal and started adding stories and lists. I then abandoned the anime site completely and switched over to making a personal site. Robert changed his domain to flippedcracker.net, and my site stayed there for a few years. I'd like to thank Robert for hosting me, and for doing it for so long. On November 16, 2005, I purchased my domain from 1&1 Internet Inc. and my hosting from Acenet Inc. On November 17, my site officially moved to dazzlingmeaningweird.net. « reverse |
